bullet ADULT DAY PROGRAMS

Program Aides – LTT & Per Diem (Hauppauge)
Assists in implementation and recording of program services for individuals as outlined in each individual’s plan of care. Responsible for the protective oversight and safeguards of the individuals assigned throughout the program day. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. SCIP-R, AMAP and CPR certification preferred.

Community Habilitation Asst. Managers P/T (Hauppauge)
Responsible for the implementation of individualized services in all Community Habilitation areas emphasizing community integration and in-home activities to enhance the individuals served in their chosen outcomes to live, work, volunteer, socialize and participate within their community to their maximum independence. High school diploma or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC); One year related experience and/or training. Current valid NYS Drivers license. Current First Aide/CPR Certification (within probationary period). Others as required by regulation changes.

Day Habilitation Assts. – F/T & LTT – (Hauppauge & Bohemia)
Responsible for the implementation of individualized services in all Day Habilitation areas emphasizing community integration and in-house activities to enhance the People Served in their chosen outcomes affecting his/her capacity to live, work, socialize, and participate within the community. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training. Valid New York State Driver's License required and Valid First Aid Certification necessary.

Health Office Asst.  – P/T (Hauppauge)
Coordinate clerical activity of the Health Office in Adult Day Program. Answer telephones, refer calls, and take messages. Maintain computer record of all participant physicals, diets, and allergies; update as needed.
File reports, consults and notes in participant's charts, and purge records as directed by nurses. Do payroll for nurses and program health assistants. Maintain adequate stock of all forms used in office. Complete purchase requests for office and medical supplies. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel). Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Clinical Supervisor - P/T (Commack)
Responsible for all therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects of the Education Department, including the direct supervision of clinical staff and oversight of Early Intervention service delivery. Responsible for all therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects of the Education Department, including the direct supervision of clinical staff and oversight of Early Intervention service delivery.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired P/T (Commack)
Provides appropriate individualized instruction to meet the needs of students according to their Individualized Family Service Plans and Individualized Education Plan.Minimum, Bachelor's degree (B. A.), and a Master of Science degree from a four-year college or university; some experience preferable. NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Blind/Partially Sighted required.

Physical Therapist - F/T (Commack)
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of those students who have been referred by CSE/CPSE and physician script has been obtained, and assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Directly supervises PT Assistants, limited permits, and students. Responsibilities include training/in-servicing employees in work related functions. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Graduate of a school accredited by APTA. Two years pediatric/rehabilitation experience preferred.

Occupational Therapist P/T -6 hours/ week (Commack)
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of those consumers who have been referred by CSE/CPSE and physician script has been obtained, and assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Directly supervises COTAs and Limited permit OT students. Responsibilities include training/in-servicing employees in work related functions. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and two years related experience.  NYS License/Certification or eligibility upon graduation.  Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Clerk/Typist- F/T (Commack)
Responsible for the general department filing, typing of memos and forms, computer data entry (Word Processing knowledge), office phones, receptionist substituting when necessary. Disperses mail, and tracks reports. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Ability to type 40 wpm. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and some related experience and/or training.

Teacher Aides Subs (Commack)
Assists classroom teacher in curriculum implementation by working with individuals or groups of children as assigned by classroom teacher. Assists in implementing strategies suggested by clinicians to the teacher. Performs frequent daily lifting of individuals with disabilities (ages 2-21), for their activities of daily living needs. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

FACILITIES

Maintenance Mechanic (Various locations)
Responsible for performing periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and limited troubleshooting on various facility-related equipment and/or systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety; in accordance to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent related experience necessary. Valid current New York State Driver License required.

Payroll Specialist (Hauppauge)
Perform accurate and timely processing of payroll using ADP Pay force for approximately 1100 employees with multi-unions. Calculate multiple pay rates, over time and shift differentials. Process deductions for 403b, medical insurance, union dues, act Process garnishments and verifications of employment. Distribute paychecks to department managers. Three years working experience with ADP pay force /(similar ADP payroll product) & ADP report writer and proficiency in Excel required. High school diploma or GED necessary. Knowledge of Time & Attendance for MITC a plus.

Residence Managers (Various locations)
Manages one subordinate supervisor (Assistant Residence Manager) who supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Assistant Residence Managers (Various locations)
Assist Residence Manager to perform all duties related to oversight of assigned residential program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Function as Manager in Manager's absence. Supervises a total of up to 13 employees in the Residence. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities necessary. Valid clean NYS Driver's License required. SCIP-R, CPR, and AMAP certification preferred.

Registered Nurses - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various locations)
Responsible for monitoring and assisting in the overall health and safety of the individuals served. Insure that all indicated medical appointments are scheduled and followed up appropriately. Insure maintenance of all medical records per state and federal guidelines. Attend annual/interim meetings, weekly IDT meetings, and staff meetings. Participate in supervision and in-service training of direct care staff. Meet regularly with residence managers to discuss current health care concerns (minimum once weekly). Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to six months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. New York State - Licensed Registered Nurse required.

Direct Support Professionals - F/T, P/T & Per Diem (Various Locations)
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in activities of daily living. High school degree or GED required. Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.
